1 The Australian Road Rules are applied in the ACT under the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Regulation 2000. They are to be read with, and as if they formed part of that regulation (see s 6 (1)). Because they were applied before the commencement of the Legislation Act 2001, the rules are not a registrable instrument under that Act.
